Bill Would Offer Incentives to Developers for Building Trails

A bill in the state Legislature would add green to developers' pockets but it's not what you might think. A state Senate bill currently under consideration would give up to a $1,000 tax credit - not just a tax deduction - to developers who build walking trails as a part of their development, an incentive that local greenways enthusiasts hope will encourage their construction.
